Order Undo ("the App") provides order cancellation and editing management services to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, and shared when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

1. Personal Information the App Collects

When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:

Merchant Information

  • Shop Details: Shop domain, email address, owner name, and shop location/time zone to configure the app and communicate updates.
  • App Settings: Configurations you choose (cancellation and editing windows, reasons, refund preferences).

Customer Information

When a customer interacts with the App (e.g., to cancel or edit an order), we access the following information from your Shopify account:

  • Order Data: Information relevant to the order being managed (e.g., order ID, status, and creation date).
  • Customer Identity: Customer name and email address (to verify ownership of the order).
  • Order Interaction: Information provided during the cancellation or editing process and the timestamp of the request.

Analytics (Merchant Use Only)

We use a third-party analytics provider (PostHog) to understand how merchants use the App. We collect only usage data tied to your shop domain (e.g. which app pages are opened, feature usage such as saving settings or viewing pricing, and anonymized error information). We do not send any customer or order personal information to analytics. Events are allowlisted and sanitized before being sent; identifiers are limited to your shop domain.

2. How We Use Your Personal Information

We use the personal information we collect from you and your customers to:

  • Provide the core functionality of the App (processing order cancellations, edits, and associated refunds).
  • Communicate with you (the Merchant) regarding the App’s status or updates.
  • Optimize the App's performance and user experience (including via product analytics, as described above).
  • Provide customer support as requested by the Merchant.

3. Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your Personal Information only:

  • With our analytics provider (PostHog) for the usage data described in Section 1 (Analytics). We use PostHog EU only; data is processed in the European Union and PostHog strictly follows GDPR.
  • To comply with applicable laws and regulations, to respond to a subpoena, search warrant or other lawful request for information we receive, or to otherwise protect our rights.

4. Data Storage and Retention

Store Configuration: Settings are stored securely to configure and operate the App.

Order Data: We do not maintain a separate database of customer orders. We access necessary order information from Shopify in real-time to process requested actions.

Retention: We retain Merchant configuration data for as long as the App is installed. If you uninstall the App, we delete all configuration data within 48 hours.

5. Your Rights

You may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you (depending on where you live, e.g. EU/EEA, UK, California). We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights or ask questions, contact us using the details in Section 7.

6. Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time in order to reflect, for example, changes to our practices or for other operational, legal or regulatory reasons.
